The Chunky Coaster – Free Crochet Pattern

With summer just around the corner crochet coasters are a quick and easy project to whip up!

Materials

• 15 mm hook
• 1 x Bernat Maker Big (50% cotton 50% nylon, jumbo weight, 77 yards per skein)

Abbreviations

• ch = chain
• sl st = slip stich
• st(s) = stitch(es)

Notes

• pattern in US terms
• finished size: approx. 4.5″ tall x 4.5″ wide

Pattern

Make 4

Row 1: ch 8, sl st in 2nd ch and across, ch 1, turn

Row 2: sl st in the back loop of each st, ch 1, turn

Row 3 – 9: repeat row 2

To Finish: Cut yarn, fasten weave in ends.
