The “Gateway 2.0” Chevron Super Scarf – Free Crochet Pattern

I got the chance to work with Lion Brand Mandala Tweed yarn and came up with a super scarf pattern that worked perfectly with it.

Materials

  • US N (9mm) hook

  • 2 x Lion Brand Mandala Tweed in Dice (100% acrylic, worsted weight #4, 568 yards per skein)

Abbreviations

  • ch = chain

  • st(s) = stitch(es)

  • sk = skip

  • dc = double crochet

Notes

  • pattern in US terms

  • finished size: approx. 19″ wide x 90″ long

  • ch 2 at the beginning of each row does not count as a stitch

Pattern

To Start: ch 56

Row 1: 2 dc in 3rd ch from hook, dc in next 12 ch, sk 2 ch, dc in next 12 ch, ch 2, dc in the next 12 ch, sk 2 ch, dc in the next 12 ch, 2 dc in last ch, turn.

Row 2: ch 2, 2 dc in first st, dc in the next 12 sts, sk 2 sts, dc in the next 11 sts, (dc, ch 2, dc) in the ch 2 sp, dc in the next 11 sts, sk 2 sts, dc in the next 12 sts, 2 dc in last st, turn.

Row 3-100: repeat row 2

To Finish: Fasten off, weave in ends.
