The Reversible “Jitter” Toque – Free Knit Pattern

The Reversible “Jitter” Toque – Free Knit Pattern

This hat just kinda happened out of no where. I casted on some stitches and just went with it. Has that ever happened to you?

I absolutely love using Red Heart Hygge yarn, if you haven’t used it yet I urge you to try it out and this pattern is perfect! Hygge yarn so soft and fluffy it has the great texture that adds great definition to any project.

This toque is really easy, you only need to know the knit and purl stitch. PLUS, it’s reversible! So you can wear it two ways.

  • US 10 (6.0 mm) 16″ circular needles
  • yarn needle
  • stitch marker
  • 1 x Red Heart Hygge (70% acrylic 30% nylon, bulky, 132 yards per skein)
    • approx. 90 yards for this project

  • st(s) = stitch(es)
  • k = knit
  • p = purl
  • k2tog = knit 2 together

  • pattern in US terms
  • finished size: 7.5″ wide x 9.5″ tall

To Start: Cast on 64 sts using the long tail cast on method

Round 1 – 12 k1, p1, repeat around (place a stitch marker at the beginning of each round to keep track)

Round 13 – 46: k1, p3 repeat around

Round 47: k1, k2tog repeat around

Round 48: k1, k2tog repeat around

To Finish: Cut yarn leaving an 8″ tail. Weave in tail through all stitches and cinch. Fasten and weave in ends.
